Clarkston, Michigan Party Bus

Clarkston is probably best known for its popular DTE Energy Music Theater (previously known as Pine Knob), and Pine Knob Ski Resort. Its easy access to I-75 makes it a great place to live and work. Kid Rock lives in Clarkston, as do actress Valerie Bertinelli and Detroit Tigers broadcaster Dan Dickerson. If you're heading out to Clarkston in one of our party buses, you'll want to go to some of the best restaurants and bars in the area. Here are our faves in the 48346, 48347, and 48348 zip codes.

Restaurants

Clarkston Union Bar & Kitchen - This great little diner is a great place to stop when you're in Clarkston for a concert or after skiing. We love the outdoor seating in the summertime, and the waitstaff is always very friendly and attentive to our needs. They've got a great selection of beers on tap, and the food is absolutely delicious and fresh. Cheap drink prices, pool tables, and video games, plus wifi available! Located on Main Street between Waldon and Clarkston Road.

Mesquite Creek Steakhouse - This is the best place to go in Clarkston for delicious seafood, steaks, Tex Mex style tacos and burgers, and ribs. The beers on draft are great, and the prices for all the drinks are very affordable. They've got a private area that you can reserve for parties, and a casual atmosphere that you'll love when you're out there before or after a concert. Located on Main Street north of Clarkston Road

Clarkston Cafe - This little bistro makes our list of faves because it's comfortable and inviting, the food is delicious and you get a lot for your money, and the staff is very friendly. They've been in business since the 1980s, and they stay in business because they always aim to please. We highly recommend the ribs. Located on Main Street between Waldon and Clarkston Road.

Union Wood Shop - Many go here for the rustic atmosphere, but they stay for the excellent food. The BBQ and pulled pork are beyond delicious. It's often crowded because everybody wants to get in there for that delicious food, so expect a wait, but know that it's worth it! We recommend anything smoked, and the Sweet Potato Burrito is something that you have to try too! You'll find this restaurant on Main Street between Waldon and Clarkston Road.

East Ocean Restaurant - If you love all things Asian, you will fall in love with the selections at East Ocean Restaurant. They've got everything from Chinese to Thai, from Mandarin to Szechuan, from Hong Kong to Japanese sushi! They've also got a full bar to quench your thirst for the finest alcoholic beverages. We would highly recommend the Pak Pak Curry. You'll find this little taste of the Orient on Sashabaw Road south of Walden.

Bars

Liberty Bar & Grill - If you're looking for a high class bar to enjoy your beer and wine in, you'll really like Liberty Bar & Grille. It's located in a prime location with a great view of the golf course. Excellent for both beer and burgers. Definitely one of our favorites. Located on Maybee Road west of Sashabaw.

Mr B's - Always a popular bar no matter which Michigan location you choose, we love the Clarkston bar for their friendly staff, delicious food, and great atmopshere. The pizza is always a top pick, but don't miss their excellent sandwiches and battered fish. The bar has an amazing selection, and there are also pool tables and video games. Located on Dixie Highway where it meetsOrtonville Road.

Hamlin Pub - If you love a cozy pub atmosphere and you're in the Clarkston area, you've got to try Hamlin Pub. The drink prices are very affordable as are the prices for the great bar fare. They've got great soup served in bread bowls, and more exotic toppings for hamburgers than most bars do (like avocados!). Why not have a California style burger in an Irish pub? Sounds crazy but it's oh-so-good. Located on Sashabaw Road south of Waldon Road.

Sportsmen's - Sportsmen's is a great bar. You can't beat the prices for both drinks and food, and the food is beyond delicious. We're huge fans of the pizza and burgers. Everything is cooked up fresh and served piping hot. Comfortable low key atmosphere that will make you want to stay awhile. Located at Dixie Highway and Waterford Rd.

Deer Lake Inn - This is definitely one of the most fun places to go if you're in the Clarkston area. You'll come for the food and drinks, both reasonably priced, but you'll stay for the entertainment. They've got video games, pool tables, and darts, plus they've often got live music and karaoke, and when those aren't happening there's always the jukebox. You'll find this one on Dixie Highway as well, northwest of White Lake Road.
