Crossroads Grille - This family friendly restaurant gives you coney island style food with better atmosphere than most coney islands! The breakfasts are delicious here, especially the omelettes. If you're in a rush during your lunch hour, this is a great place to go because you can get in and out in a flash. The servers are always very friendly, and you can't beat the prices here. Located on Highland Road west of Oak Grove.

Tomato Brothers - This great little Italian restaurant and pizzeria is always a great bet when you're in the Howell area. The lasagna for two is the best dish on the menu by far, and it'll have you coming back for more time and time again. We also love the ribs with just the right amount of sauce, and the delicious breadsticks. The waitstaff is always very welcoming and quick to serve you. You'll find Tomato Brothers on Grand River south of Highland Road.

Golden House Chinese Restaurant - Everyone loves Golden House for the most delicious Chinese food in the area. They've been serving Howell residents since 1987, and they've been in business that long for a reason. Great staff, wonderful recipes, and great atmosphere too. The menu is extensive with just about every Chinese delicacy you can think of. We recommend the Hawaiian Chicken and the Lemon Chicken, and if you love it spicy you'll need to try the Spicy Chicken of course! You can find this Oriental gem on Grand River Avenue between Michigan Avenue and Chilson Road.

TJ's River BBQ - If you're craving that unmistakable smoky flavor of delicious barbecued meats, you've got to try TJ's River BBQ. These are the best ribs and pork that you will ever have this side of Detroit. The restaurant has televisions and wifi so you're always connected and never have to miss a game, and they've got a great sports bar atmosphere that will make you feel at home from your very first visit. You can find this awesome barbeque restaurant on Grand River Avenue northwest of Latson Road.

Mexicali Allies - Something about the name makes you think that this would be Americanized Mexican food, but it's not. It's as authentic as it gets, cooked up fresh and piping hot. The locals will vouch for the fact that this is the best Mexican food in the area, and the service is both fast and friendly. They've got great vegetarian options, plus tons of specials that will help you to go easy on your wallet. (Note: They don't stay open late. Mondays til 2pm, Tues-Thurs til 7:30pm, Friday til 8:30pm, Saturday til 7:30pm, and closed on Sundays.) You can find Mexicali Allies on the corner of Michigan Avenue and Grand River.

Mr B's Rustic Tavern - You've got to love a good rustic tavern atmosphere, and this Mr B's location definitely has that. We love the wild game decor. They've got twenty four beers on draft. Since it's family run, you can avoid that chain restaurant feeling and know that you're supporting the community. We love the plasma TVs for catching the big game and the photos on the wall that give you an historic glimpse into the downtown Howell area. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu here, but our go-to section on the menu is definitely the sandwiches. They're delicious! You can find Mr B's Rustic Tavern on the corner of Grand River and Michigan Avenue.

Cleary's Pub - Now here's a family run pub that gets it right on all levels. They've got great atmosphere, somewhere between an Irish pub and an American sports bar. The food is absolutely delicious, and always served piping hot. They've got a notable beer selection, and the mixed drinks are always nice and strong and mixed just right. There are many large screen plasma sets, lots of pool tables, and even karaoke nights. We recommend the French onion soup and the calamari! Too good to pass up. You can find Cleary's on the corner of Grand River and Michigan Avenue.

Diamonds Grill & Pub - The food is definitely the reason to hit this cozy little pub on your lunch hour. They've got the best burgers in town, and their steaks are top notch too. The drink prices are nice and cheap, so you can get your buzz without breaking the bank. And the waitresses are always in a great mood and happy to serve you. You can find Diamonds Grill & Pub on Grand River Avenue just southeast of Michigan Avenue.

Manny O'Malley's Irish Pub - Yet another excellent Irish pub in Howell! This one boasts really affordable prices for both food and drinks. They've got great authentic Irish decor, perfectly poured pints, and a great staff. You'll pay a little extra for certain things like the Angus burger, but it's so delicious and definitely worth it. You'll enjoy this rustic little hole in the wall located on Old US Highway 23, south of Highland Road.

Shark Club - If you're in Howell and looking for a great place to shoot some pool and enjoy some drinks, you'll want to check out the Shark Club. They've got poker tournaments on certain nights, a dance floor, and great crowds. The waitstaff here is the friendliest we've encountered, always making sure that your glasses are filled and that you're being taken care of. Possibly the coolest place to hang out in Howell. Located on Pinckney Road south of Mason.
