Ferndale, Michigan Party Bus

Ferndale is a rapidly growing city in Oakland County, Michigan. It's perhaps best known for its large LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender) population and the city hosts Motor City Pride each year. There are many excellent restaurants and bars in the area, and if you're traveling to Ferndale for any reason on one of our party buses, you'll have to stop for a bite to eat or something delicious to drink. These are our favorite spots in the 48220 zip code.

Como's Restaurant & Pizzeria - Absolutely the most famous eatery in Ferndale (as far as we know!) and for good reason! This restaurant has been owned and operated by the same family since 1961. The atmosphere is wonderful, with rich accents highlighting the bar and eating areas. The outdoor seating is fabulous in the summertime. The pizza is the best that you'll ever taste. Everything on the menu is exquisite. Located conveniently on the corner of Woodward and 9 Mile.

Fly Trap Restaurant - So incredibly popular it was even featured on the Food Network. Their tagline is "a finer diner," and they serve what they call "blunch" all day. We love the Ensalada de Basura. Try the Green Eggs and Ham (eggs, roasted poblano pesto, jack cheese, and seared slabs of ham) or the Charmoula Chicken (North African spiced chicken breast, jack cheeze, and caramelized onion... all on grilled sourdough with lemon garlic aioli). Your mouth's GOTTA be watering now. Located on Woodward Avenue just north of 9 Mile Road.

Howes Bayou - If you love BBQ and Cajun/Creole, you'll definitely want to make this place one of your stops when you're in the Ferndale area. We are absolutely hooked on the blackened chicken voodoo salad and the crawfish bisque. Despite the exotic entrees the prices are quite reasonable, and the atmosphere is incredibly comfortable. You'll love the bar area too. Located on Woodward north of 9 Mile.

Blue Nile Ethiopian Restaurant - If you've not yet experienced Ethiopian food, Blue Nile is the best place to try it. It's a very fun experience. Ordering is simple--you simply choose "all included" or "vegetarian." The first option gives you everything on the menu. The second option gives you everything on the menu that's vegetarian. You and your guests are served on one large tray that you all share, and you dip your bread into the different items. Located on 9 Mile Road west of Woodward.

Nami Sushi Bar - This is the best place in Ferndale to get the freshest and most delicious sushi. They've got unusual cocktails like saketinis, and nifty named sushi rolls like the Marlon Brando! The prices are about what you'd expect at a good sushi joint, and the tempura sushi is out of this world. Located on 9 Mile Road west of Woodward.

Boogie Fever Cafe & Disco - Lovers of the 1970s will enjoy stepping back in time. It's like a scene straight out of Saturday Night Fever, with disco balls, spinning lights, and all those 70s hits that you can't get enough of. There's nothing else like this anywhere in Michigan, so it's definitely worth the drive. Located on Woodward Avenue north of 9 Mile.

Soho - Soho is a nice little jazz bar. It's a great place to meet people and enjoy the music. Sometimes they have karaoke as well. The drink prices are a little above average here, but you're paying for the atmosphere of course. Friendly people, great staff, and a very cool light effect behind the bar. You'll find it on 9 Mile, west of Woodward.

Dino's Lounge - Just a great friendly bar! Excellent food here, including superbly cooked burgers and great desserts. They serve brunch on Sundays, perfect after a late Saturday night of clubbing. The prices aren't too high, and the live music is great. Some day it reminds them of the bar on Cheers, which is always a good thing! Located on Woodward and 9 Mile.

Rosie O'Grady's - This one's like a nice combo of Irish pub and sports bar. We really love the burgers and pizza here. They've got karaoke on Sundays too. The outdoor patio is one of the best in all of Ferndale, so you'll want to take advantage of that on warm summer nights. You can find this cozy bar on 9 Mile Road, west of Woodward.

Danny's Irish Pub - Another great dive bar in Ferndale is Danny's. Very comfortable atmosphere. It's small and cozy just the way you like it, with darts and video games to keep you entertained while you throw back shots or sip your drink of choice. The crowds here can get loud and boistrous at night, so if you're ready for a rousing good time, this is the place for you. Danny's can be found on Woodward Avenue and 9 Mile Road.
