Eastpointe is located in Macomb County, and it's a popular destination in the summer months for its various festivals including Erin-Halfway Days Living History Festival, Music in the Park on Wednesday nights at Spindler Park, and Summer Fest which was previously called The Ox Roast. They also bring in a lot of visitors during Cruisin' Gratiot. If you're coming into Eastpointe for any reason, you've got to know where to stop for something to eat and drink! We've got a short list of the absolute best eateries and watering holes in the 48021 zip code for you. Check 'em out:

Salvatore Scallopini Italian - One of the many popular Salvatore Scallopini locations in Michigan. We love this one for its convenient location and super friendly waitstaff. The food is of course freshly prepared and incredibly delicious. This is a much more upscale location than the others that you may have visited, and that makes it even better. Drink prices are very affordable too. We recommend any one of the steaks. They're always perfectly cooked and seasoned just right. You'll find Salvatore Scallopini on Gratiot Avenue south of 9 Mile Road.

Plaza Mexicano Mexican Restaurant - This is one of the best Mexican restaurants you'll ever visit, with some specialties that you won't find anywhere else. We love the salsa verde, which is something that we haven't really run into anywhere else. Very large portions and extremely cheap prices! Don't let the casual atmosphere throw you off. You get high class service here, and absolute top of the line food. You can't go wrong with the burritos and chimichangas. Located on 9 Mile Road halfway between Gratiot and Kelly Road.

Villa Restaurant & Pizzeria - We've spent many hours dining at Villa Restaurant & Pizzeria. We love the Italian cafe decor, and when you want to go out for a giant delicious pizza pie, this is the best option. It's always nice and quiet even on their busiest days, and this is a very family friendly restaurant. The deep dish round pizza is our absolute favorite. You'll find Villa on Gratiot Avenue between 8 Mile and Toepfer.

Legends Diner - Legends Diner looks unassuming from the outside, but the food is beyond compare. Their extensive menu is sure to please everybody, but just between us we'll let you know that the omelettes are the most amazing you'll ever have. The patty melts are an excellent choice for lunch, with the bread grilled up just right. Even though this is a family friendly restaurant, they've also got a full bar so you can enjoy your breakfast with a mimosa or a bloody mary if you like. We love this place. You can find it on 9 Mile Road between Kelly Rd and Gratiot.

Andary's Grill & Deli - Andary's has been in business for as long as we can remember, and with their family friendly atmosphere and delicious home cooked food, it's no wonder. We love stopping in for breakfast (their omelettes are the best!), and for lunch we love the homemade soups. They've always got great daily specials too. You can find Andary's on Gratiot between 9 Mile and Stephens.

Gus Guerra's Cloverleaf Bar & Restaurant - Gus Guerra's Cloverleaf Bar & Restaurant is our favorite place to go for delicious pizza and antipasta, and of course for great drinks any time. There's a reason that this bar has been going strong since 1974, and it's definitely the excellent food. The friendly staff and great atmosphere doesn't hurt either! You can find Cloverleaf on Gratiot between Stephens Road and 10 Mile.

Boney Moroney Bar - This is just a great little hole in the wall bar. They've got cheap drinks that are strong and mixed just the way they should be, and a decent selection of beers on tap. There are darts and pool tables so you can get your game on while you're throwing back your drinks of choice. They've got karaoke some nights too. You'll find Boney Moroney Bar on Gratiot between 8 Mile and Toepfer.

Fairway Sports Bar & Grill - It's easy to overlook Fairway Bar & Grill since it's located in a strip mall. It's really nothing but a little dive bar, but they've got a great chef that cooks up awesome bar fare, and you can catch all the games on their many TVs. You cannot beat their cheap daily lunch specials. The drinks are nice and cheap too. You'll find Fairway Bar on 10 Mile Road between Kelly Road and Little Mack.

Friends Tavern - Friends is Eastpointe's answer to "Cheers," with lots of satisfied regulars and a staff that's always welcoming and friendly to any new faces that they see. They've got great karaoke here, and the bar can get pretty crowded on Saturday nights since they're so popular. The drink prices are ridiculously low, and there are darts, video games, and trivia to keep you busy. You'll find this little gem of a bar on Gratiot just south of Stephens Road.

Dublin Pub - This is such a great little Irish pub. One of the things that makes it a standout is the fact that they've got a dance floor. The crowds here are more subdued than at other bars, maybe because it's a slightly older crowd. We've never seen any fights here. Just happy customers drinking their beers and enjoying themselves. We love the cheap drink prices here! Video games too. Located on 10 Mile Road between Kelly and Little Mack.
