Rochester Hills, Michigan Party Bus

Rochester Hills, located in Oakland County, is one of the richer suburbs of Detroit. The exact location can be confusing, because residents of Rochester, Rochester Hills, and Oakland Township often refer to themselves simply as living in Rochester or the Rochester Area. You may be headed into the Rochester area to go to Meadow Brook Hall, or maybe to see a play by the Avon Players. In the summer you might visit Thelma Spencer Park to enjoy the beach, and in the autumn months you may go to Yates Cider Mill. Whichever attraction has brought you to Rochester, you'll need to eat while you're there. So here are some of our favorites in the 48306, 48307, 48308, and 48309 zip codes.

Restaurants

Oceania Inn - Serving happy eaters since 1972, Oceana Inn is a Chinese restaurant where you can get giant portions at a very low cost. The great thing here is that they serve both the popular Americanized dishes and the authentic Chinese dishes, so everyone in your party will be happy. You can get the delicious old fashioned egg rolls that you love here, and they also have excellent orange chicken and hot and sour soup. You'll find it on Walton Boulevard west of Adams Road.

Mitchell's Fish Market - If you're in the mood for fresh fish, the best seafood restaurant in Rochester Hills is Mitchell's. They've got great prices and wonderful service, and the food is out of this world. The blackened mahi mahi is not to be missed, and the lobster tails are always an excellent choice. The salads and drinks are also a highlight on this varied and delicious menu. Located on Adams Road north of Walton.

Crust Pizza & Wine Bar - This is a modern twist on the uspcale pizza restaurant, functioning as both pizzeria and wine bar! In contrast to the American idea of the crust being there only to hold the toppings, they subscribe to the idea that the crust is king. Once you taste one of their perfectly baked thin crusts, you'll understand why. Try the fresh mozzarella salad for an appetizer (goes great with any wine!) and perhaps the Margherita pizza or the Pancetta white pizza. You'll find this one on Rochester Road at Barclay Circle.

Chipotle Mexican Grill - Wildly popular, Chipotle is gourmet Mexican food at is very best. The menu is minimal, consisting of burritos, burrito bowls, fajita burritos, soft and hard tacos, salads, and chips and guacamole. You can customize them any way you want to create the perfect meal--extra meat, extra rice, extra sour cream, whatever you want. Everyone who dines here finds it insanely addictive. Located on Rochester Road at Barclay Circle.

Bravo Cuchina Italiana - We haven't tried this one personally yet but we're always hearing rave reviews from our friends! This Italian bistro is a great place to go for freshly prepared Italian dishes. Our friends are hooked on the Plank Salmon and they say the pizzas are not to be overlooked either. Great place to go with a group of friends. You can find this one on Adams Road north of Walton.

Bars

The Hills Bar & Grille - This upscale sports bar is an incredible place to relax with friends and catch the game. Thirty foot ceilings, bar and fireplace crafted from granite, two separate outdoor patios, and a second floor area. Another claim to fame is their nearly two hundred inch HD projector--the largest in all of Oakland County. Despite the classy vibe, the prices are very affordable and the food is beyond delicious. You can find this gem of a bar and restaurant on Rochester Road north of Tienken.

Muldoon's - Muldoon's is a great corner bar where you can stop in for pizza and pub food, plus delicious and moderately priced drinks. They've got plenty of things here to keep you busy, from multiplayer games to trivia, from pool tables to darts. We love to go there to watch the Red Wings games and take advantage of their six dollar pitchers and five dollar pizza. Located on the corner of Auburn and Adams.

Hamlin Pub & Deli - This is such a great place to stop for sandwiches, hamburgers, and even steaks and soups. They've got a great selection of beers on tap and they're all chilled just right. We would highly recommend the Portobello Mushroom and Avocado Burger. The staff is so friendly here, and they'll accommodate just about any special requests that you have. You can find Hamlin Pub on the corner of Rochester and Hamlin Road.

CK Diggs - Both restaurant and bar, CK Diggs is one of our favorite places to go for stone pizzas and beer. They give you tons of food here, and the prices very cheap. Even the biggest eaters in your party can fill up without emptying their wallet. The food is on a much higher level than you'd expect--we'd venture to say it's gourmet. Try the calamari appetizer. It's the best you'll ever have. You can find C K Diggs on the corner of Auburn and Crooks.

Tapper's Pub Eatery & Spirits - Tapper's is great in both warm and cold months because they've got both indoor and outdoor eating areas. They've got great specials and happy hour, and plenty of things to entertain you including live entertainment, karaoke, and a jukebox. You just can't beat the beer and burgers here. You can find Tapper's in a strip mall on Auburn Road east of John R.
