Madison Heights

Madison Heights, a city in Oakland County, is a great center for business in our state. They have over one hundred large companies calling the city home, as well as many small businesses. There are dozens of shopping centers, nearly a dozen hotels, hundreds of thousands of feet of office space, and over ten million square feet of space in seven industrial parks. That's a lot of business. With all of those businesses and all those workers, you know that the city must have some excellent restaurants to feed those people, and some great bars for them to relax in at the end of a hard working day. And they do! On this page you'll see our absolute favorites in the 48071 zip code.

Restaurants

The Breakfast Club - This is our absolute favorite place to have breakfast in Madison Heights. They've got everything you could possibly be craving for breakfast--omelets, quiche, pancakes, waffles, crepes, French toast, hash browns, potato pancakes, stuffed baked potatoes, bacon, sausage, corned beef hash... and of course fresh squeezed orange juice and delicious fruit salads. They're open from 7AM to 1:30PM and they've even got a lunch menu. You can find this wonderful eatery on John R Road, south of 13 Mile.

Thang Long Thai & Vietnamese Restaurant - Though we're not big fans of the strip mall atmosphere, the food is top notch. Everything is spiced perfectly, from the ginger and onion in the soups, to the red chiles and basil in the entrees. The selection of dishes and drinks here makes it a worthwhile trip even if it's a bit of a drive for you. You can find Thang Long on John R Road north of 11 Mile.

Green Lantern Lounge - Forget your usual deep dish pizza place! Green Lantern Lounge is the only name you need to know. They make the most delicious deep dish in the area. Very affordable too! They've got a great selection of beers and wines to go along with your slices. One twist that we really love is the cole slaw on the Italian subs instead of the usual plain lettuce! They really know how to do both pizza and subs here. Find it on the corner of John R Road and Twelve Mile.

Telway Hamburger - Telway Hamburger, affectionately known to the locals as Telway's, is an absolute essential if you're in the Madison Heights area. They've been in business for decades because they deliver quality time after time. There are no better burgers or coffee anywhere in Michigan. And since they're open 24 hours it's a great place to stop after a night of bar hopping. Located on the corner of John R Road and 11 Mile.

Masters Restaurant - In business since 1983, this is one of the most unique restaurants in all of Michigan, and it's a very special experience for golfers and golf fans. Why? Because the structure is designed to look like the clubhouse in Augusta, Georgia, where your favorite professional golfers play The Masters tournament every year. The inner decor keeps up with the tastes of modern golfers. The atmosphere may be what gets you there, but the food is what keeps you coming back for more. They've got a very large menu that includes perfectly cooked steaks and chops, chicken, veal, seafood, sandwiches, and much more. They have daily lunch and dinner specials, and live piano Thursday thru Saturday from 7PM to 11PM. You'll find this one of a kind establishment on Dequindre Road just north of 13 Mile.

Bars

On The Rocks Bar & Grill - Just a casual laid back bar where you can kick back and enjoy a few brewskis with your buds. They've also got darts, video games, and pool tables so there's plenty to keep you busy between drinks. The owners and the staff are so friendly, always making sure that you are taken care of. Karaoke and DJs on the weekends make it extra fun. And the best part? The prices. You can find On The Rocks on John R Road south of 12 Mile

D B Coopers - Nealee's Pub is now called DB Coopers. We love this lively sports bar for the friendly staff, the happy crowds, and of course the low drink prices! On the weekends you'll enjoy live entertainment, DJs, karaoke, and dancing. You'll love stopping in for lunch or dinner. We recommend either the cheese nachos or the beef nachos for an appetizer, and the best sandwich is Coop's Special--breaded white meat chicken, swiss, lettuce, tomatoes, and mayo, on a grilled greek pita. Delicious. Located on Campbell Road north of 12 Mile.

McCool's - Such a fun place to gather with friends after a long workday or on the weekends. They've got dancing and karaoke, billiards and darts, and wifi for those who want to stay connected via their laptop or smartphone. The atmosphere here is of course very laid back and cool (hence the name!) but it's a popular spot and it's always busy with happy customers. You'll find McCool's on 14 Mile Road east of John R.

Madison Park Bowl Bar & Grill - What's better than a bar and grill? A bar and grill in a bowling alley! This one's got sixteen lanes and a great rewards program for frequent bowlers. If there aren't any lanes available when you arrive, you can keep busy with their great selection of games including darts, pocket billiards, touch screen video games, and shuffleboard. Their jukebox is connected to the internet so you pretty much have access to almost any song you can think of. There are great times to be had here! Located on John R Road north of 10 Mile.

The Fat Iguana - The Fat Iguana is an excellent little bar with live music on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. We love to go here on Thursdays for one buck long islands and one buck draft beers. The burgers here are top notch. Low key, laid back, and casual place to hang out. Located on Dequindre north of 11 Mile.
